Ready for Take-Off

After months of coming up with the idea of putting all of my bird photographs on a separate website and developing the site, the moment of takeoff has arrived!

This is still a work in progress and hopefully it never will cease to be that. I am committed to continually updating the site and in fact hope to feature fresh material on my home page whenever I have it before I move it to the appropriate gallery.

So who is my target audience? I’ve developed this website in mind for those of you just interested in the wonder of birds. No prior knowledge of birds or photography needed. That’s not to say I won’t have photo tips of deep dives on bird info on occasion but it’s really meant to just kick back and be entertained. That’s a reason I set this up with a gallery format of actions/settings of birds and not by speices (alkthough i break out species within the 12 galleries).

I also plan to have this website be targeted to persons with visual impairments. My goal is to have very single photograph with descriptive “alt text” that can describe the photograph in detail. As of now only the Reflections gallery and the Home page have the alt text but that should change quickly.
